 He walked through life with his head hung low,  

A man with a heart full of quiet sorrow,  

No smile in his eyes, no light in his stride,  

Just trudging through days, with no joy to find.  


But one morning, fate sent a little surprise,  

A pup with bright eyes and a wagging surprise,  

He found him on the street, all lost and alone,  

A scruffy little thing with a heart of gold.  


He jumped into his arms, with no fear, no doubt,  

His tail a metronome, gently tapping about,  

He laughed for the first time in years, just a crack,  

And in that moment, something snapped back.  


He wasn’t much—just a bundle of fur,  

But his love was fierce, his loyalty pure.  

He didn’t ask questions, didn’t need to know,  

He just loved him fully, helped him to grow.  


Each walk in the park, each bark at the door,  

He taught him to live, to feel, to restore.  

He didn't care about his past or his pain,  

He just showed him how to smile through the rain.  


The days felt brighter, the nights less cold,  

His small little paws, made his heart bold.  

In his eyes, he found a new sense of grace,  

A reminder that love is a healing embrace.  


He didn’t fix everything, no magic cure,  

But with him by his side, he learned to endure.  

He was the light when the world felt dim,  

A dog who loved him, on a whim.  


Now he wakes up each day with a different view,  

A man transformed, with a heart that’s true.  

And he knows, no matter how rough life may seem,  

It’s love—pure love—that helps us to dream.
